Paul Gray

Paul began his shooting career at Mountain Ash rifle range in South Wales in 1970. Over the years, he has featured in 11 Queen's finals and has been the Captain of Welsh National Match winning teams in 2016 and 2021. Paul enjoys having fun with a Match Rifle and won the prestigious Albert Trophy in 2000.

This will be Paul's sixth visit to Canada, fifth with a team and second as Captain of a visiting team. Interestingly, on his first visit as an individual in 1977, Paul shot for the USA team in the Canada match.

Outside of shooting, Paul is a retired care home proprietor, advising health professional students at Swansea University on interaction with patients and sits on the medical ethics committee. For the first 10 years of his working life Paul was an explosives engineer working on the demolition of large structures. Paul is forever thankful for his wife Jayne's support whilst he's pursued his shooting career around the world for almost 50 years.

Jon UnderwoodGM GC2 SM2

Jon’s passion for target shooting started at the tender age of 11 at Aldro School on a 20 yard range in a converted greenhouse. Jon learnt about fullbore shooting and ‘Bisley’ when he moved to the Royal Grammar School, Guildford, continuing at London University.

Jon has achieved a number of notable successes over the years including winning the Bisley Grand Aggregate, the H.M. Queen’s Prize, and the Governor General’s Prize. He has also been a consistent member of many successful teams representing England and Great Britain, recently competing in the World Championships in South Africa with the GB Palma team, where he picked up third place in the World Long Range Individual Championships Final.

Back home, Jon looks after his family’s many business interests, including a tool hire business. In his ‘spare time’ he has returned to RGS Guildford to help coach the school’s rifle team.

Tom Bullock

Tom began shooting at Langar rifle club in his native Nottinghamshire back in the late noughties with his father James, who he is proud to join on this team.

While this will be Tom's first tour to Canada, he has previously toured four times: GB U19 to South Africa in 2012, GB U21 to America in 2016, GB U25 to New Zealand in 2019 and with the UK NRA team to the Channel Islands in 2018. In and amongst this Tom gained a first class degree in engineering from Warwick University and has become a director of the family business.

By stepping up to this Great Britain team Tom will become one of just a few people in history to ‘complete the set’, so to speak. Though it will be a tremendous honour and privilege to do so, his primary interests in touring lie in the pursuit of adventure, the amazing friendships that are forged on tour and of course the all-important hunt for V-Bulls.
