Nigel started shooting small-bore at Winchester House Preparatory School when he was nine, to be followed at the same school and in subsequent years by Webbie and sometime later by Chris Watson. Nigel progressed to full-bore at Bedford School in the CCF and has never stopped shooting – he has shot 37 consecutive Bisley Grand Aggregates.
This will be Nigel’s fourth tour of the West Indies first appearing as a new cap in Graham Jackman’s team of 1986, and subsequently as Adjutant to Martin Townsend in 2002. Nigel was also a member of the late David Hossack’s goodwill team in 2006. Nigel has toured South Africa, with GB and England, and has been twice to the Channel Islands, the second time as N.R.A. Captain in 2003.
Nigel works for a national property company based in London and when not shooting at Bisley, or elsewhere, he can be found watching rugby or cricket. He is joined for the second part of the tour by his wife, Sarah, who travelled alongside the 2006 goodwill team.
Having experienced the enthusiasm of West Indian Shooting, and the unique & generous West Indian hospitality, Nigel looks forward to this tour with a great deal of excitement. The highlight of the tour will undoubtedly be the Australia Match, the final shoot in Barbados.
